The Huron Lights Museum
In June 2008, Lighthouse author Jerry Roach became one of the new owners of the Huron Lights Museum and Gift Shop. Now you have a one stop shop for all your lighthouse news and information. Step back in time while you view the historical artifacts on the grounds, visit the gift shop, or browse our on-line store. Here you will find lighthouse, nautical, maritime, and even general gift giving solutions that everyone will enjoy.

Get off the expressway and visit the "Sunrise Side" of Michigan. While you are here, visit the 8 lighthouses all within an hours drive.
Current Displays

The Museum on Wheels
Inside the Museum on Wheels are artifacts directly from Middle Island. There are artifacts from both the Middle Island Lighthouse and the Life Saving Station based on Middle Island. You can also view the original drawings used for the construction of the lighthouse.

Acres of Fun
There are acres of nautical, maritime and lighthouse displays to see and enjoy. Walk the grounds of the Huron Lights Museum and Gift Shop and enjoy displays of lifeboats, life rafts, skeletal range lights, marker buoys, old boat engines, rudders and much, much more.

1870 Fog Bells
The original fog bells of the 1870 Alpena Lighthouse. This is just one of the many hands on artifacts on the grounds. Go ahead and ring the bells.
